Point the camera at the plate and BiteIt reads it — the dishes, the rough portions and the calories. It also reads packet barcodes and nutrition labels, which is faster than typing when the number is printed right there. Scanning is unlimited on a subscription.

Your food diary never leaves your phone.
Everything you log — meals, photos, weight, your profile — is stored on the device and nowhere else. We cannot read it, and there is no copy on a server to leak or to sell.
An account exists for one reason: so your subscription survives a new phone. All it holds is your email address and whether you have paid. The only thing that ever leaves the device is a meal photo you choose to scan, which is analysed and then discarded.
